I’ve never seen any video or interview of him saying that, just that Damian had a crush on Lindsay, which might be just a joke between them and not actually true.

Hm… I saw somewhere but I’m not sure, maybe here.
It was a interview with all the cast and the interviewer asked if Damian had any crushes on the show, and Cameron says “Lindsay!”.
He also implied that in a CDTV video on his youtube channel.
